We are working on a mobile-friendly version of this website. This page has been converted; feedback is always appreciated. I think I got used to the old look, this seems so plain in comparison. But they tell me if the smart phones can't handle it, we won't have the readers we need. So here goes. But I'm not throwing out any of the old files. (Never do, that's why there's 1.3 million of them now. )

Changes in the Store
Now available in store are copies of the Temiskaming Speaker, The Voice, and the Weekender newspapers for your convenience. And brand new to the store is the availability of Temiskaming Transit bus tickets. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays on a regular basis in any case.
As a reminder to those who have said they would post a review on TripAdvisor, doing so would be a huge favour and show of support (and thank-you to those who did). At least five people came into the store last summer saying that is where they discovered our store. The link is here: TripAdvisor reviews for White Mountain Publications, aka White Mountain Books. We appreciate all your support.
Changes in the website
We have started the massive changeover in our website, so that some pages will have this new mobile-friendly format, while other pages will still retain their former look. The website is celebrating its 20 anniversary, and there are literally hundreds of pages to convert. Yes we were selling books online before amazon, before Google. As if I wasn't feeling old enough already. If something is not working, please tell us.
Quarantine a novel by Terry Cassidy. Set in 1994, young Wat Moore is caught up in a devastating situation while visiting his father's laboratory in Ottawa. When it's believed that he has been exposed to a deadly and highly contagious pathogen, the government sends him into a quarantine that could last the rest of his life. A fast-paced story set in Ottawa, northern Ontario and north-western Quebec, Terry has given us another well-researched thriller.
Missing in Cobalt is the murder mystery set in Cobalt 1949 by Terry Cassidy. Have had rave reviews on this one.
Cobalt~The Cradle of Hard Rock Mining in Canada A colour pictorial with quotes about Cobalt from the people and places at the time when the whole world knew where Cobalt was on a map.
Yes, we have been busy. Hope all is well with you and yours.
