
Cloudy Skies, Clear Thoughts
Cloudy Skies, Clear Thoughts is the name for the collection of winning poetry from the fifteenth (2015) Northern Ontario Poetry Competition co-sponsored by the Canadian Authors Association - Temiskaming Branch and White Mountain Publications, New Liskeard.
In keeping with the Canadian Authors Association motto of "Writers Helping Writers", this annual competition encourages and assists the development of new and existing poetic talents in the Northern Ontario region as defined by Canada Post's postal code beginning with the letter P. (See map)
Winners were carefully chosen from the 90 entries received from across Northern Ontario Postal Code P.
The Launch in Sudbury included our prize winners Melanie Baschiera from Hearst, poet laureate Ann Margetson from Cobalt, June Salmon from Port Sydney, William (Bill) Knoof from Thorne, Don Bennett from Haileybury, Kurtis Gauthier from Earlton, Alvin Beck from Moose Factory, and Ruth Smith from North Bay.
Joining us on this occasion was Maggie Kirton (formerly Maggie Lacroix -just married) from Wynterblue Publishing Canada, Inc. (North Bay) who had just launched the new issue of Wyn Lit 2Four ink
