The Ruggles is one of the most treasured artifacts in the Haileybury Heritage Museum. November 2024 will mark 101 years since the Ruggles arrived in Haileybury. It was the first mechanized fire pumper in Northern Ontario. We are grateful for Brian Dobbs who captured this photo of the Ruggles, and for allowing us to share with you.

Photo credit to Brian Dobbs who captured the enduring majesty of Haileybury’s courthouse. Haileybury was declared the district town July 8, 1912. Construction of the courthouse began soon after. The Courthouse was officially opened in 1914.
