Palliative
by Harry Kleinhuis
A collection of poems that touch on those things for which we struggle to find the answers to or, often, even just the right words, combined with a gentle commentary that soothes the soul and eases the loss.
Harry Kleinhuis came to Canada from Holland in 1952 as a child. He grew and was educated in North Bay, Ontario. Became a teacher in a one-room school in 1963. Married, and taught in Kapuskasing, Western Canada and Rousseau, Ontario. Helped with the population growth in five locations, and continues to do so vicariously through succeeding generations.
With a B.A. from the University of Manitoba and M.Div. from McMaster University he became a minister in 1985 and served in Parry Sound and Bracebridge, Ontario area. He was a prison chaplain and Legion padre during that time. Currently retired and aside from writing, he helps a beaver and a few other critters maintain a large pond and swamp in his forested back yard.
