March 18th was the last day amazon gave to access the .mobi file format, and so we've taken all our Kindle ebooks from the the website instead of having to explain the reason you can get them, but not open or access them. Despite the hype, epub formats comprise vast majority of the market. And if you want it on your Kindle reader, Amazon automatically converts your EPUB file to the AZW3 file that actually appears on your Kindle. So you no longer have to choose, and we don't have to offer in two file formats.
The pre-publication offer is now open for the third and final installment for the Gabby series: Gabby The Legacies by André Maheu. Coming hot off the press in June 2025, pre-ordering yours saves a bit of money and insures you get a copy as soon as they are available.
Gabby now takes us on one last epic journey. Gabby and all of his children actively play major roles during World War II. His efforts pay off and his popularity garners international fame. As he ages, he faces new political challenges, deals with heart-wrenching events and contemplates his many legacies. A worthy end to this trilogy. Wonderfully done.
On the storefront, we are going to continue our summer hours for the months of June, July and August. We will be open 6 days a week from 10 am to 5 pm. Monday through Saturday. it was very popular last year once it actually became known that we'd be open, so we're going to try it again. After all, we are here to serve.

Gabby
Gabby What a wild ride. Gabby can't seem to stop talking, and keeps getting into trouble, but wait, everything turns around in his favour. Set historically, and accurately, in New Liskeard of 1916 through 1918, Gabby is a fictional character interacting with real people and places of that time. He winds his way through New Liskeard and World War I, meeting many famous people of that time with hilarious results. You don't want it to end. Yes it's one of those books. It's been hugely popular so far. You'll love him too. It's available in ebook formats as well.
Gabby Remembers
Gabby Remembers And if one Gabby wasn't enough, you're in luck. Gabby Remembers has our favourite fellow talking his grandchildren through the 1920s, 1930s and early 1940s. As usual, Gabby has a great deal to say about everything, and continues to run into prominent historical figures of the time. The book is laced with historical personalities that existed at the time, be they heads of state, athletes, actors, outlaws, or artists. How he manages to live to be 75 is beyond explanation.
FIRE Cobalt: May 23, 1977
The eagerly-awaited reprint of Don Curry's book FIRE Cobalt: May 23, 1977 has revived many people's memories of that awful day. The upside of that is they then turn around and realize how far the town has come back.
Sparks of Faith
Speaking of newer titles, we have Sparks of Faith, by Khalil A. Khavari. This book contains personal stories of how people came to the Bahá'í Faith. We quite enjoyed the various, and sometimes quite unlikely, ways this has happened. We think you will enjoy it also.
Palliative
Palliative by Henry Kleinhuis. Poems and commentary that ease the passing of loved ones. Perfect gift for those experiencing loss. Non-denominational and easy to read. Not a subject we like to think about, but one that we all face. When we struggle to find the words to say, you may well find them here.
